Hi friends. Today I want to talk about fear. Many people believe, wrongly, that successful people are not afraid.
Even the most successful people in history were afraid – all of them, without exception.
What is the difference?
Many times you want to do something, but you think, “Oh, I’m scared. I’d better do nothing. I’m not like those brave people who are not afraid of anything.”
That is FALSE: everybody is afraid. The difference is that some people don’t flinch. They are afraid, but they keep going.
I have read about many successful people, and I still haven’t found anybody who wasn’t afraid before making an important decision.
Normally, all of them follow the same process; me too. Before doing something important you have millions of doubts and fears.
Once you decide to do something, it’s over. You have to forget about the fears and doubts.
Focus on giving everything you have.
You also have to face “help” from losers who will tell you why your idea is horrible and that it would be better if you forgot about it.
Don’t listen to them!
Remember that what people say about you is not about you but about them.
I have encountered a few people who have tried to make me forget about my dreams.
But when I made the decision, I was totally sure of myself, and people could see the determination in my eyes.
Even very negative people told me that they were surprised at the conviction that I had to do whatever was necessary to achieve my goals.
Even Mike Tyson is Afraid
I recommend to you a video of Mike Tyson describing his mental process before he jumped into the ring.
“A lesson of intimidation from Mike Tyson.”
He explains how, before each fight, he is totally terrified.
Little by little, as he gets closer to the ring, he feels more and more confident.
When he arrives in the ring, then he feels unbeatable.
You can suffer for a while overcoming your fears, or you can suffer fear your whole life.
